Beginner Bridge Class (Monday Evenings)

Join us for Beginning Bridge beginning Monday, Sept.14 at 19:00. This is a 10 week program which does not assume any previous knowledge or bridge or cards. +1s are welcome (and encouraged!)

Provisional Syllabus (will change depending on progress of the class!)

  1. September 14 - Introduction to Trick Taking and Play of the Hand
  2. September 28 - Scoring and Introduction to Bidding
  3. October 5 - Evaluating Bridge Hands
  4. October 12 - Opening 1 minor and simple responses
  5. October 19 - Opening 1 Major openings and responses
  6. October 26 - Opening 1NT and simple responses
  7. November 2 - Conventions after 1NT openings
  8. November 9 - Advanced bidding and play of the hand
  9. December 7 - Advanced bidding and play of the hand
  10. December 14 - Putting it all together
The location is at the Clayton Ballsbridge Hotel (opposite Intercontinental Dublin) in the Atrium lounge downstairs.
