Traditional Irish Scone & Brown Bread Making


The hands-on cooking course is interactive, fun and a true Irish epicurean

experience. A professional chefs will guide each guest through the recipes, as

they roll up their sleeves to prepare delicious, classic Irish Scones and Brown

Bread and Jam.

This experience is followed by dining in the refurbished Howth Castle

Butler’s Room served with coffee and tea.


Approx 2 1/2 hours long (includes the hands on cooking which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes followed by 45 minutes to eat your creation )

A historian will also meet with us in the kitchen for 15 minutes to present a history of the castle. After the cooking class participants are free to wander through the grounds.
