TUES: Heritage Tour of Edward Worth Library

EDWARD WORTH LIBRARY

We are delighted to offer this special tour of the Edward Worth Library. Edward Worth (1676-1733) was a Dublin physician and book collector who bequeathed his collection to Dr Steeven's Hospital (the big yellow building near Heuston Station). Step back in time to learn about this man of both science and letters, the intellectual and cultural treasures he left behind, and how the library itself was planned and built. We will also view and learn about the library's current exhibit, Early Medieval Dublin.

Open to visitors only by appointment, the Edward Worth Library has remained as it was for nearly 300 years and is one of Dublin City's true hidden gems.  Guests welcome.

All ticket proceeds will go to support our charity, Dog's Trust 

WHEN:  Tuesday, July 16 at 11:00AM (tour will last approx. 45 minutes)
WHERE: Meet in lobby of Dr Steeven's Hospital
COST:  €6 (funds will be donated to Dog's Trust)
