WALKING TOUR - Around Dublin's Medieval Walls

A fantastic way to learn some fascinating history of medieval Dublin, and to learn about the origins of the city.  Although only remnants of Dublin's old Medieval Walls still stand, this tour will trace their entire outline, with reference to the towers that once fortified the walls (including the excavated Isolde's tower), and discussion of relevent wars, invasions, and rebellions.

Offered as part of the Dublin Festival of History, this is an outstanding opportunity (one AWCD member has taken the tour twice!) that provides a unique and incomparable glimpse into the historical geography of medieval Dublin.

Notes: This is an outdoor walking tour and covers about 2-3 kms. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
