St Patrick's Day Concert

The RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with two groundbreaking and hugely popular orchestral works fusing Irish traditional music with the symphonic sound::

Shaun Davey’s The Brendan Voyage, with uilleann piper Mark Redmond, vividly depicting St. Brendan’s transatlantic crossing from Ireland to the New World in a tiny leather boat.

Riverdance Symphonic Suite by the Grammy Award winning composer Bill Whelan, a colourful orchestral setting featuring the iconic themes, melodies and rhythms from the worldwide phenomenon that is Riverdance.
